SMALL WORKS GALLERY is Var Gallery’s esteemed collection of more than 1,000 small artworks sized at 6x6 inches and under. SMALL WORKS was established in 2022 in response to the popularity of Var Gallery's annual 30x30x30 Exhibition, and now hosts it's own open calls for regular themed featured exhibitions. The collection includes Var Studios resident artists, artists that have previously participated in the annual 30x30x30 Exhibition, as well as both local and out-of-state artists who are accepted to feature. The lofted gallery located at Var Gallery’s 2nd Street location in the Walker’s Point neighborhood offers the opportunity for the general public to collect affordable works from many of their favorite artists all year-round!

How do I submit work?
SMALL WORKS hosts open call featured exhibitions which you can can submit to via the Contact / Submit page. We do not accept work that is not specifically submitted for a featured exhibition.
Does the work really have to be 6x6(x6) inches or smaller?
YES!
Only work that fits the size constraints of the gallery will be accepted.
This includes the frame and any hanging mechanisms.
Featured exhibitions may have different size/dimension/media/thematic requirements, so refer to the upcoming featured exhibition page for details.
Can I submit out of state / internationally?
Absolutely! Please keep in mind, artists are responsible for shipping and return costs, as well as any customs fees.
Does the gallery take a cut if my work sells?
SMALL WORKS takes a 35% cut of all work sold.
